2022 BPD Caregiver Support Workshop

When your loved one has Borderline Personality Disorder, you may feel overwhelmed, exhausted, stressed, and lonely. We know caregiving is stressful and exhausting, but what can you do about it?

Taking place every Wednesday from 7.30pm - 9pm, this workshop is aimed at caregivers, family members, and partners of individuals with BPD. The goal is to teach you skills to respond effectively in crisis situations, support each other within the group, and improve the relationship between you and your loved one.

Our long-awaited DBT Social Skills Training groups are back! From June to October 2021, learn essential skills from Dialectical Behaviour Therapy like Mindfulness and Emotional Regulation in a safe environment.

Get to engage in multiple experiential exercises and open discussions to facilitate learning of these skills, and learn how to apply them into daily life. Given that this is a small, open group setting, this is also an opportunity to speak with others from diverse backgrounds who may share similar experiences, worries or questions about the techniques and applicability into daily living.

It’s time for caregivers to care for themselves! How? Connect with others who are going through similar experiences, and also learn important techniques for you to care for yourselves as well.

Taking place on Tuesdays in November and December, this support group is for caregivers of those with physical disability. The goal is to teach useful and important skills from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness and self-compassionate techniques to support your own mental health and relieve the psychological and physical stress you may be feeling constantly.

Postnatal Support Group

Caring for a newborn can be overwhelming and isolating, especially in the beginning.

Taking place every Thursday, our online support group is aimed at mothers who are looking to gain support and share their experiences in a safe and non-judgmental environment.

Participants will also learn skills such as managing expectations of themselves and others, managing pain and sleep, reducing sibling rivalry, and detecting signs of Postnatal Depression and seeking help.

Taking place every Saturday from 4pm - 6pm, this workshop and support group is aimed at caregivers. The goal is to impart useful skills from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to support your role as a caregiver and relieve the psychological and physical stress you may experience from caregiving.
