Mira Yoon
윤미라

Principal Psychotherapist

Mira is a Principal Psychotherapist and utilises a wide range of therapeutic modalities in her therapy. Mira employs psychodynamic principles, humanistic person-centred psychology, analytical psychotherapy, trauma-informed somatic therapy and non-verbal modes, including Art Therapy, and Gottman Method Couples Therapy (Gottman Level 2).

Psychodynamics is a deep exploration of our core psychological roots often hidden from our consciousness. Psychodynamics sheds light on emotional blind spots and malfunctioning relationship patterns. This promotes long-lasting management and therapeutic effects.

An effective bilingual Korean Singaporean, Mira helps her clients/patients alleviate the effects of debilitating and painful emotional and psychological symptoms by promoting self-reflection and self-examination in a safe therapeutic relationship.

Mira constructs a safe and calming space for her clients, where they are free to let go of their dysfunctional defence mechanisms and unlock their creative minds to regenerate inner resilience and psychological vitality.

Mira’s clinical strengths include incorporating elements of non-verbal communication through art, using visual language to express inner emotions through colours and images freely, and achieving freedom in expressing suppressed feelings.

She has vast experience addressing issues like depression, anxiety, panic/stress-related psychological symptoms, grief and loss, relationship and family challenges, trauma, personality disorders, and mood disorders in private and public clinical settings. Her expertise also encompasses guiding incarcerated individuals in their psychological journeys to rehabilitation, working with couples, and supporting neurodiverse individuals aged 18 and above.

Mira is passionate about sharing her knowledge and clinical experiences and is a research-dissertation advisor. Professionally, she lectures and trains healthcare professionals, teachers, and therapists in art therapy.

Having lived in Singapore since 1998, her deep experiences in multicultural settings allow her to work effectively with local and international communities in Singapore.
