High Functioning Depression in Working Women
What is high-functioning depression? What sets it apart from regular depression? Even if a woman is physically healthy and financially stable during the pandemic, she could still be vulnerable to stress, anxiety, and interpersonal tension and conflict. Women, in fact, are nearly twice as likely as men to be diagnosed with depression, and the disease can afflict anyone, at any age. Issues related to Covid-19's isolation, or grief, or dealing with major upheavals such as job loss, have made depression a related outcome of the global pandemic.
